The MSubs Ltd uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) belong to the Oceanus class, developed through ZeroUSV (a collaborative venture between MSubs Ltd and its sister software house, MarineAI). These long-endurance autonomous vessels are designed for mission-agnostic applications across defense, hydrographic surveying, and marine science. Exciting and cutting edge stuff! Charlie Boy was charted to help with the trials of Oceanis, a little different from our usual fishing trips!
The fleet leverages the autonomous navigation technology perfected during the famous transatlantic voyage of the Mayflower 400, 400 years after the departure of the original Mayflower ship from Plymouth UK in 1602, the Mayflower Autonomous Ship set sail for Plymouth USA, completing the world’s first autonomous Atlantic crossing. Driven by MarineAI’s tehcnology, in collaboration with MSubs, IBM and ProMare, the 15m-long, solar powered trimaran was piloted completely by AI technology.
